Rules and Regulations

Regulations and Standards are presented here in this section. The Regulations refer to the Rule of use of the open-spaces that the Trust allows the public to use without costs and for your pleasure and enjoyment. The Standards refer to the rules that the Trust uses in its Stewardship of all our properties and conservation restrictions. The Standards are derived from the National Land Trust Associations book of standards.

The following regulations apply when visiting Hopkinton Land Trust properties that are open to the public:

  • Open from dawn to dusk
  • No dumping or littering
  • No motorized vehicles
  • No mountain biking (except Center Trail)
  • No cutting of trees or plants
  • No hunting, shooting, or trapping
  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No fires or camping
